Stari most (Old bridge) is a famous bridge over the Neretva River in Mostar, built between 1557 – 1566 by Turkish builder Hajrudin. On 9 November 1993, HVO forces destroyed the bridge. The bridge was reconstructed and completely renovated in 2004. Among the donors were the Turkish and Italian Governments.
