Where exactly the former fishing village of El Molinar begins east of Palma center anyway? Even the residents know that not as accurate as it turns out quickly. If one asks around in the barrio, you get from almost any another story told: "Molinar consists of many small pieces." The piece of the Club Nautico Portitxol over the small sandy beach to the curve with the bathing rocks is one of Portitxol. But all streets behind the first line of the sea are already Molinar. During the village's checks is clear: Agreement among the inhabitants of both districts are only in one thing: El Molinar is named 28 windmills. This "first Molinar", the Old Mill district, was demolished in the 80s, today there are the high-rise on the beach of Can Pere Antoni and two remaining mills.
